When is the best time for kitesurfing in Hurghada?

You can kite in Hurghada all year round, and we are open every day. The windiest and most reliable months are usually May to October, with steady wind from the north and north-west. March, April and November are also good. From December to February the wind is often lighter and the water is cooler, a little above 20 °C, so a wetsuit is a good idea.

From what age can children learn kitesurfing?

Children can usually start kitesurfing from about 12 years old. Younger kids from about 8 can join only under special conditions, so please talk to us first. Tell us your child's age and weight on WhatsApp and we will suggest the right course. Windsurfing and SUP are also easy first sports for the whole family.

Is kitesurfing safe for beginners?

Yes, with the right teacher. Our instructors are IKO certified and we have been teaching since 2009. You start on the beach with a small trainer kite, and you wear a vest and a helmet in every lesson. You should feel comfortable in the water.

What should I bring?

Swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, sunglasses with a strap and a cap or hat. All kite equipment and safety equipment are included. At the school you have toilets and showers, free Wi-Fi, storage, and free water, tea and coffee.

What happens if the wind stops during my course?

If there is no wind, you choose: we move your lesson to another day, you get a voucher for your next visit with 10% off (also next year), or you get your money back and only pay for the hours you did.

How long does it take to learn kitesurfing?

Our courses are 3, 6 or 9 hours, with 3 hours per day. In the 6-hour course you work on your first water starts and riding a short distance. The 9-hour course adds riding in both directions, changing direction and the right-of-way rules.

What is the difference between private and semi-private lessons?

In a private lesson the instructor teaches only you. In a semi-private lesson you share the instructor with one friend or family member, maximum two people, and the price is per person.

Is the transfer really free?

Yes. We pick you up from the airport or from anywhere in Hurghada, bring you to the school and take you back, free of charge.

Which languages do your instructors speak?

English, German, Russian and Polish, and some French. Each instructor speaks different languages, so tell us yours when you book and we will find the right instructor for you.

How can I book and pay?

Tap any Book button and send us your details on WhatsApp. To confirm your booking you pay a 20% deposit by bank transfer or PayPal; we send you the details on WhatsApp. The rest you pay at the school in euros, dollars or Egyptian pounds, or by Visa or Mastercard (5% extra fee for card payment).

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel more than 7 days before your lesson, you get your 20% deposit back. If you cancel 7 days or less before, we keep the deposit. If there is no wind, you never lose your money: we move your lesson, give you a voucher for your next visit with 10% off, or you only pay for the hours you did.
